St. Teresa Specialist & Laser Eye Centre was established in 2018 with the aim to provide quality eyecare services at an affordable cost to all. We are located at 140, New Lagos Road, Benin city Edo State, Nigeria.
In the quest to eradicate needless blindness which accounts for about 80% blindness in Nigeria, we focus on treatment for cataract, glaucoma and refractive error which accounts for the majority of avoidable blindness.
We provide comprehensive eye care services which include evaluation and treatment of eye conditions like cataracts, glaucoma, refractive error, vitreoretinal diseases, corneal oculoplastic and uveitis.

Cataract
Cataract is the clouding of the natural lens in the eye (crystalline lens) which leads to poor vision.

Glaucoma
Glaucoma is a group of diseases that affects the optic nerves (connections to the brain). It is called the silent thief of sight because it takes away vision such that it is not noticed at the early stage.

Conjunctivitis
it is an inflammation or infection of the conjunctiva, which covers the white part of the eyeball. it can be allergic, viral or bacterial infection.

Diabetic Retinopathy
Diabetic retinopathy is a complication of diabetics that affects the eye. It is caused by damage to the blood vessels of the tissue at the back of the eye.

Corneal Abrasion
It is a scratch on the clear, dome-shaped outer layer of the eye that covers the iris and pupil.

Hypertensive Retinopathy
Hypertensive Retinopathy is the damage to the retina (the most light- sensitive part of the eye) and its blood circulation due to the high blood pressure.

Pterygium
Pterygium is triangular tissue growth of the conjunctiva into the cornea, it can be removed by a simple procedure

Dry Eye Disease
Dry eye disease is a common condition that occurs when the eyes don’t produce enough tears or the tears produced are not enough to keep the eye moist.
